Today I introduce to you my first “Friday Holiday Find” of the month. Please meet Kula Kai from Orange County “Laguna Beach”! I have personally worked with Cheryl and she is amazing. I know that you will love getting to know her below as well as shopping her site! XX

How did you come up with the name Kula Kai?
Always falling in love with new places and people, I naturally fell head over heels with beautiful Hawaii and Hawaiian culture. On my first trip there, I learned that Kula means open meadows and Kai means ocean, and I thought it would be the perfect name for my jewelry line, Kula Kai. The serenity and bliss that both environments bring me is exactly what I need before I sit down to start designing. My pieces are inspired by my love for traveling and exploring land and sea, interesting people I meet, lessons I learn, and beautiful things I see and hear along the way.

What is your favorite piece from your fall/winter collections?
unnamedFor my fall/winter collection, I created a lot of fun, earthy pieces, but I think my favorite is the Gypsy Soul Necklace. I love the way the pyrite compliments the white turquoise, and the gold bars hanging from it remind me of a waterfall. It’s adjustable from choker length to 18″ and when I wear it I feel like it really completes my look, whether I wear it long & draped over a basic tee, or at choker length underneath the collar of my favorite button up shirt dress.

Where can you find your jewelry?
Kula Kai is available online at and at a number of boutiques across the US. In California, you can find Kula Kai at Isla boutique, The Soul Project, and The Laguna Colony Company in Laguna Beach, Newport Colony in Fashion Island, Social B in Newport Beach, Stitch & Feather and Joie de Vivre in Seal Beach, Twig & Willow and Clover in Long Beach, Purre at the Camp and May Martin, Inc. at the Lab in Costa Mesa, and Plenty boutique in Santa Ynez. Outside California, you can find Kula Kai at Sweet Life in Washington, D’annata in Las Vegas, The Pink Hanger in North Carolina, Havana Jeans in Connecticut, Owens & Co. in Hawaii, Warm in NYC, as well as online at Honey Girl, Socialista, Harper’s, and Bikini Bird online shops.

What 3 words best describe your brand?
Dainty, Romantic, Classic

What is you’re most versatile piece?

That’s a tough one because I like to keep it simple so the majority of my pieces are made for everyday wear and layering. I guess I’ll choose the pieces I never take off! For necklaces, my Opal White Hamsa necklace; I wear it with everything. For bracelets, my pyrite chain bangle. For rings, my tiny heart ring in gold, silver, or rose gold and for earrings, my two-tone looped chain earrings. Those pieces all go well with everything and I love mixing different colored metals at once.PicMonkey Collage
